A rewarding opportunity is available for a School Psychologist to support K-12 students at a public school in Detroit, MI. This full-semester contract position allows a dedicated professional to apply expertise in psychology within an educational setting, positively impacting student success and well-being.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive psychological evaluations for students K-12 to identify learning challenges and behavioral needs
- Collaborate with educators, parents, and administration to develop and implement intervention plans
- Provide individual and group counseling to help students overcome academic, emotional, or social difficulties
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute specialized knowledge to support individualized education programs
- Monitor student progress and adjust strategies as necessary to promote optimal outcomes
- Maintain documentation and ensure compliance with district and state regulations
Desired Qualifications:
- Master’s or Doctoral degree in School Psychology or related field
- Valid certification or licensure as a School Psychologist
- Experience working with diverse student populations across K-12 grade levels
- Strong assessment, diagnostic, and counseling skills
