A K-12 educational institution in Glendale Heights, IL, is seeking a dedicated and skilled School Psychologist for a contract position during the current school year (CSY). This role offers a unique opportunity to support the academic, emotional, and social development of students by providing expert psychological services within a dynamic school setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct psychological evaluations and assessments to identify learning challenges and behavioral issues.
- Collaborate with educators, parents, and administrators to develop intervention strategies and individualized education plans (IEPs).
- Provide counseling and support services to students to enhance emotional well-being and academic success.
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to ensure integrated support systems for students.
- Assist in crisis intervention and prevention activities within the school community.
- Maintain accurate and confidential records in compliance with legal and ethical guidelines.
Desired Qualifications:
- Master’s or higher degree in School Psychology or related field.
- Valid School Psychologist certification/license in Illinois.
- Experience working with K-12 student populations.
- Strong knowledge of psychological assessment tools and educational laws.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team and manage multiple priorities.
