Apply NowThis role focuses on delivering comprehensive psychoeducational services within a K-12 school setting in Grand Junction, CO. Responsibilities include conducting detailed cognitive, academic, emotional, and behavioral evaluations, contributing to Eligibility Determination and Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings per Colorado Department of Education guidelines and federal IDEA regulations, and collaborating with educators, administrators, and families on intervention strategies. The position also involves providing short-term counseling, crisis support, and participation in Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS) and Response to Intervention (RTI) teams. Additional duties include assisting with Functional Behavior Assessments (FBAs), Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs), promoting social-emotional learning (SEL), trauma-informed practices, and maintaining meticulous records while upholding the ethical standards prescribed by the National Association of School Psychologists (NASP).
Qualifications include a Master’s or Specialist-level degree (Ed.S., Psy.S., or equivalent) in School Psychology from a regionally accredited institution, eligibility or possession of a Colorado Department of Education (CDE) Special Services License with School Psychology endorsement, and a thorough understanding of IDEA, Section 504, FERPA, and relevant legal frameworks. Strong assessment, consultation, collaboration, and culturally responsive skills are essential. Preferred candidates will have experience in K–12 public schools, familiarity with Infinite Campus or ICAP data systems, and bilingual capabilities in Spanish and English.
