A K-12 educational institution in Hamburg, NY is seeking a licensed School Psychologist, Social Worker, or Counselor to provide critical support during a maternity leave from January through April. This contract position offers flexibility, with options for full-time or part-time schedules tailored to the candidate’s preference. Serving the West Seneca, NY area and surrounding communities, this role focuses primarily on middle school students.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver comprehensive psychological, counseling, or social work services to middle school students
- Conduct assessments and provide interventions designed to support student mental health and academic success
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to develop effective student support plans
- Maintain accurate documentation and follow district policies and procedures
- Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings, as needed
- Respond to crisis situations with professionalism and care
Qualifications:
- Valid license as a School Psychologist, Social Worker, or School Counselor
- Experience working in K-12 educational settings, preferably at the middle school level
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively engage with students, staff, and families
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Flexibility to accommodate full-time or part-time hours for the duration of the maternity leave
