A full-time School Psychologist opportunity is available in the Chattanooga area, serving elementary schools (grades K-5) within the Hamilton County Schools district. This contract position runs from January 5, 2026, through May 21, 2026, requiring 37.5 hours per week with no options for part-time or remote work. Candidates must hold an active Tennessee Department of Education certification.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct psychological evaluations and assessments for elementary students
- Participate in Admission, Review, and Dismissal (ARD) meetings and develop Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Design and implement behavior intervention plans as needed
- Manage caseloads primarily at the elementary level with potential travel between assigned schools
- Collaborate with school staff to support student academic and behavioral success
Qualifications:
- Active Tennessee DOE School Psychologist certification is mandatory
- Experience working with elementary-aged children (K-5) preferred
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to work effectively with educators, families, and administrators
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and adapt to dynamic school environments
Location:
- On-site in various elementary schools within the Chattanooga area; no hybrid or remote work options
