A Licensed Specialist in School Psychology (LSSP) is needed to provide comprehensive psychological services within a K-12 educational setting in Houston, TX. This full academic school year (CSY) contract position involves supporting two campuses—one elementary and one intermediate or middle school—with a manageable caseload. Bilingual candidates are preferred.
Responsibilities include:
- Conducting approximately two psychological evaluations weekly
- Attending Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings, staffings, and Manifestation Determination Reviews (MDRs)
- Collaborating with mental health specialists who provide related counseling services
- Delivering assessments and interventions to support student mental health and educational development
Qualifications and desired experience:
- Valid LSSP license issued by the Texas State Board of Examiners of Psychologists
- Master’s degree or higher from an accredited college or university in school psychology or related field
- Experience working in K-12 educational settings preferred
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Bilingual skills are a plus but not required
