A contract position is available for a School Psychologist at an early childhood school located in Hyattsville, MD. This role offers the opportunity to support young learners and contribute to their developmental and educational success in a specialized early childhood setting. The contract term aligns with the current school year (CSY), making it a focused, time-sensitive assignment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct psychological assessments and evaluations to identify students' learning and behavioral needs.
- Collaborate with educators, parents, and support staff to develop and implement individual education plans (IEPs).
- Provide counseling and intervention strategies to support students’ emotional, social, and academic growth.
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to data-driven decision-making.
- Monitor student progress and adjust interventions as necessary to promote positive outcomes.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Master’s or Doctoral degree in School Psychology or related field.
- Valid state certification or licensure as a School Psychologist.
- Experience working in early childhood or elementary school settings is highly desirable.
- Strong knowledge of psychological assessment tools and intervention strategies.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with children, families, and educational teams.
- Ability to manage a caseload efficiently while maintaining detailed records.
