Exciting opportunities are available for credentialed school psychologists for both full-time and part-time contract roles during the 2025-2026 school year. Make a positive impact supporting students’ emotional health, academic growth, and behavioral development through expert psychological services and interdisciplinary teamwork.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver in-person counseling tailored to students’ IEP goals and related service hours
- Travel to assigned schools monthly or bi-weekly and provide your own reliable transportation
- Accurately document sessions bi-weekly using MOIEP and a designated provider tracking system
- Complete tri-annual IEP Progress Reports based on defined counseling objectives
- Collaborate with teachers, other service providers, and parents to ensure transparent communication about student progress and needs
- Participate in IEP, 504 Plan, and child-find meetings, offering insight for eligibility and planning
- Administer a variety of psychological assessments in person and generate detailed, organized Comprehensive Psychological Reports
- Present findings, recommendations, and present levels of academic achievement and functional performance (PLAAFPs) at interdisciplinary team meetings
- Maintain timely and thorough records for all parent/guardian communications via MOIEP
Preferred Qualifications:
- At least one year of experience conducting comprehensive psychological evaluations and authoring reports identifying primary disabilities for special education eligibility
- Minimum of one year counseling students within a school context, focusing on IEP-governed topics and goals
- Background working with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement IEPs
Requirements:
- Active psychologist license through the Maryland Board of Examiners of Psychologists, or pending status if not yet licensed
- Valid Maryland motor vehicle operator’s license for duties requiring travel between school sites
Pay for this contract role is $45-50 per hour.
