A full-time School Psychologist position is available for the current school year at an elementary school located in Joliet, IL. This role focuses exclusively on supporting students at a single elementary school, providing comprehensive psychological services to a caseload of approximately 35 case studies. Bilingual evaluations are conducted by a contracted bilingual psychologist, allowing the School Psychologist to concentrate on a diverse range of psychological assessments and interventions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct psychological assessments and evaluations for students as assigned within the caseload.
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and school staff to develop individualized education plans (IEPs) and support strategies.
  • Provide consultation services to educators and families to address students’ social, emotional, and academic needs.
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute to multi-disciplinary student support efforts.
  • Maintain detailed documentation and comply with district and state regulations in all evaluations and reports.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

  • Master’s or doctoral degree in School Psychology from an accredited program.
  • Valid Illinois School Psychologist certification.
  • Experience working in an elementary school setting preferred.
  • Strong skills in conducting psychological evaluations and developing IEPs.
  • Ability to work effectively with diverse student populations.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Location:

  • Joliet, IL (Elementary school setting with on-site responsibilities)

Work Schedule:

  • Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
  • 45-minute unpaid lunch break
  • Current school year contract
