A K-12 school in Kansas City, KS is seeking a dedicated School Psychologist for a contracted position during the 2026-2027 school year. This role focuses on assessing and supporting the learning, developmental, and emotional needs of students to promote educational success and well-being in a diverse school environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify students’ academic, social-emotional, and behavioral needs.
- Collaborate closely with school staff to facilitate evaluations, IEP development, and research-based interventions.
- Communicate effectively with students, parents, teachers, and community agencies to support student adjustment and learning.
- Coordinate meetings for initial evaluations, re-evaluations, and pre-staffings.
- Assist in program planning and provide consultation on learning strategies and psychological principles.
- Adhere to ethical standards and district policies governing school psychological services.
Qualifications:
- Master’s Degree or Education Specialist Degree in School Psychology.
- Valid Kansas Teaching Certificate with School Psychologist endorsement.
- Health and Inoculation Certificate upon employment.
- Strong interpersonal, assessment, and communication skills.
- Ability to work efficiently both independently and collaboratively within a school setting.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to sit or stand for extended periods; perform physical tasks such as lifting up to 50 pounds and climbing stairs.
- Capacity to engage actively with students and staff in various school environments.
Compensation & Benefits:
- Competitive pay rate of $45-50/hour.
