A K-12 school in Kansas City, KS is seeking a dedicated School Psychologist for a contracted position during the 2026-2027 school year. This role focuses on assessing and supporting the learning, developmental, and emotional needs of students to promote educational success and well-being in a diverse school environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify students’ academic, social-emotional, and behavioral needs.
  • Collaborate closely with school staff to facilitate evaluations, IEP development, and research-based interventions.
  • Communicate effectively with students, parents, teachers, and community agencies to support student adjustment and learning.
  • Coordinate meetings for initial evaluations, re-evaluations, and pre-staffings.
  • Assist in program planning and provide consultation on learning strategies and psychological principles.
  • Adhere to ethical standards and district policies governing school psychological services.

Qualifications:

  • Master’s Degree or Education Specialist Degree in School Psychology.
  • Valid Kansas Teaching Certificate with School Psychologist endorsement.
  • Health and Inoculation Certificate upon employment.
  • Strong interpersonal, assessment, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work efficiently both independently and collaboratively within a school setting.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to sit or stand for extended periods; perform physical tasks such as lifting up to 50 pounds and climbing stairs.
  • Capacity to engage actively with students and staff in various school environments.

Compensation & Benefits:
