A K-12 school in Leavenworth, KS, seeks a qualified School Psychologist for the 2026/2027 school year on a contract basis. The role focuses on identifying and assessing the learning, developmental, and adjustment needs of students while collaborating with educators, families, and community agencies to support student success.
Key responsibilities include:
- Conducting assessments aligned with NASP standards to identify learning, social-emotional, and behavioral needs.
- Analyzing data and environmental factors impacting students' educational progress.
- Developing and facilitating Individual Education Plans (IEPs) tailored to student needs.
- Consulting with teachers, parents, and school personnel to recommend evidence-based interventions.
- Coordinating and leading evaluation meetings and pre-staffings for eligibility and placement.
- Serving as a liaison between the school system and community resources.
- Communicating effectively both orally and in writing with students, families, and staff.
Qualifications and experience:
- Master’s or Education Specialist degree in School Psychology.
- Valid Kansas Teaching Certificate with School Psychologist endorsement.
- Ability to comply with professional ethics, laws, and policies governing school psychological services.
- Health and Inoculation Certificate on file upon employment.
