Located in Lenexa, KS, this K-12 school seeks a dedicated School Psychologist for the 2026/2027 school year on a contract basis. The role focuses on identifying and assessing the learning, developmental, and adjustment needs of individual students and groups while considering environmental influences. Collaborating closely with school personnel, this position involves coordinating evaluations, facilitating meetings, developing Individual Education Plans (IEPs), and recommending research-based interventions to support student success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments aligned with NASP standards to identify students’ learning, social-emotional, and behavioral needs, incorporating cultural and socio-economic factors.
- Integrate assessment data to develop hypotheses about instructional programming and eligibility for services.
- Communicate effectively with students, parents, teachers, and school staff both orally and in writing.
- Consult with educators on classroom and building-wide needs, collaborating to enhance student learning and adjustment.
- Act as a liaison between the school system and community agencies to coordinate services.
- Assist in planning, development, and evaluation of IEPs using evidence-based strategies.
- Coordinate and facilitate evaluation meetings, including initial and triennial re-evaluations and pre-staffing meetings.
Qualifications:
- Master’s or Education Specialist degree in School Psychology.
- Valid Kansas Teaching Certificate with School Psychologist endorsement.
- Health and Inoculation Certificate (required post-employment offer).
Physical Requirements include prolonged sitting and standing, computer use, clear verbal communication in various settings, and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds, bend, stoop, and climb stairs.
Compensation for this contract position ranges from $45 to $50 per hour with healthcare benefits and weekly pay options available.
