Serving a K-12 school community in Minneapolis, MN, this full-semester contract role seeks a dedicated School Psychologist to provide comprehensive psychological services. The role involves conducting assessments, delivering support across a range of special education processes, and collaborating within a multi-tier system of supports to meet student needs effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct initial and reevaluation assessments with defensible, detailed reports compliant with IDEA and Minnesota Rule 3525
- Provide support related to medical diagnoses, Functional Behavioral Assessments (FBA), Behavioral Intervention Plans (BIP), and risk/threat assessments
- Consult within Minnesota Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MnMTSS) ensuring timely completion of special education due process documentation
- Maintain a minimum availability of two school days per week to effectively support students and staff
Desired Qualifications:
- Current Minnesota Professional Educator Licensing and Standards Board (PELSB) School Psychologist license
- Strong proficiency in conducting psychoeducational assessments and report writing
- In-depth understanding of IDEA and Minnesota Rule 3525 compliance requirements
- Ability to collaborate closely with educators, administrators, families, and related service providers
- Successful completion of a background check as part of contractual obligations
