A full-semester contract opportunity is available for a licensed School Psychologist to support middle school and preschool students in a K-12 school setting located in Naperville, IL. This in-person role is designed to cover a long-term leave, providing dedicated psychological services and support from the start date through April 2026.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct initial evaluations and reevaluations for students with disabilities at both the Early Learning Center (ELC) and Middle School levels
- Serve as the 504 Plan Manager for the Middle School by conducting evaluations and facilitating 504 Plan reviews
- Develop functional behavioral assessments and design behavior intervention plans tailored to student needs
- Collaborate with the social work team to implement a comprehensive problem-solving process addressing academic and behavioral challenges
- Participate actively in the Multi-Tiered System of Support (MTSS) process to improve student outcomes
Qualifications:
- Valid Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with a School Psychologist endorsement
- Experience working with middle school and preschool students preferred
- Strong knowledge of special education laws, psychological assessment tools, and behavioral intervention strategies
- Effective communication and collaboration skills to work with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams
- Ability to manage multiple responsibilities and meet deadlines within a dynamic school environment
