A K-12 school in Philadelphia, PA is seeking a skilled School Psychologist to join their team on a contract basis for the current school year. This position offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on student success and well-being within a dynamic educational environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct individual and group assessments to identify students’ cognitive, social, and emotional needs
- Collaborate with educators, parents, and administrators to develop and implement intervention strategies and support plans
- Provide counseling and crisis intervention services to students
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to the development of individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Monitor student progress and adjust strategies as needed to promote positive educational outcomes
- Maintain accurate and confidential student records in compliance with legal and ethical standards
Desired Qualifications and Experience:
- Master’s or Doctoral degree in School Psychology
- Valid licensure or certification as a School Psychologist in Pennsylvania
- Experience working with diverse K-12 student populations
- Strong assessment, consultation, and counseling skills
- Knowledge of special education laws, regulations, and best practices
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
