An opportunity is available for skilled professionals specializing in the support and development of students' mental health and educational needs. This contract position is situated in Lakewood, WA, within a dynamic middle school environment dedicated to fostering the well-being and academic success of its students.
Qualifications:
- Master’s or Doctoral degree in School Psychology or related field
- Valid state certification or licensure as a School Psychologist
- Experience working with middle school-age students
- Strong assessment and intervention skills
- Ability to collaborate effectively with educators, parents, and other professionals
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Commitment to promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion within the school community
Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive psychological evaluations and assessments for students
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) based on assessment findings
- Provide consultation services to teachers, staff, and parents regarding student needs
- Develop and deliver professional development workshops for school staff
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support student mental health
- Monitor and analyze student progress and adjust interventions as necessary
- Provide crisis intervention and support to students and families
