A contracted position is available for a skilled School Psychologist to provide vital support within a K-12 educational setting in Tacoma, WA. This role offers an excellent opportunity to apply your expertise in psychological assessment and intervention to help students achieve their full academic and social potential throughout the current school year.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive psychological evaluations for students to identify learning, behavioral, and emotional needs
- Collaborate with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Provide counseling and crisis intervention services as needed to support student well-being
- Participate in staff training and contribute to the development of school-wide initiatives promoting mental health and positive behavior
- Maintain detailed documentation and comply with all relevant educational regulations and guidelines
Desired Qualifications:
- Master’s or Doctorate degree in School Psychology or related field
- Valid state licensure or certification as a School Psychologist
- Experience working within K-12 school environments
- Strong skills in assessment, data interpretation, and report writing
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities to effectively engage with students, parents, and school staff
