A K-12 school in Vernon Rockville, CT is seeking a skilled School Psychologist to provide support during a leave assignment. This contract opportunity requires a professional dedicated to promoting student well-being through psychological evaluation, counseling, and collaboration with educators and families.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments for students grades K-12
- Develop and implement individualized intervention plans based on assessment results
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and school staff to address student needs and improve academic and social outcomes
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and assist with special education eligibility determinations
- Provide counseling and crisis intervention services as needed
- Maintain accurate records and prepare reports in accordance with school policies and state regulations
Qualifications and Experience:
- Master’s or Doctoral degree in School Psychology from an accredited program
- Valid state certification or licensure as a School Psychologist
- Experience working with diverse K-12 student populations
- Strong knowledge of psychological testing instruments and educational policies
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a dynamic school environment
