A full-time opportunity is available for a skilled School Psychologist to support K-12 students throughout the entire school year in Warren, MI. This contract position offers a dynamic environment where psychological expertise will directly contribute to student well-being, academic success, and social-emotional development.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments to identify student needs and eligibility for special education services
- Collaborate with educators, parents, and support staff to develop individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Provide counseling and intervention services to address behavioral and emotional challenges
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to data-driven decision making
- Monitor student progress and adjust interventions as needed to promote positive outcomes
- Maintain accurate documentation in compliance with legal and ethical standards
Qualifications:
- Master's or Specialist degree in School Psychology from an accredited program
- Valid Michigan School Psychologist certification or eligibility to obtain certification
- Knowledge of assessment tools, RTI processes, and special education laws
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to work effectively with students, families, and school personnel
- Experience in K-12 educational settings preferred
