An opportunity is available for a skilled School Psychologist to support a K-12 school in Waynesboro, VA. This contract position, lasting the entire school year, focuses on providing comprehensive psychological services that promote student learning and well-being.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct psychological assessments to identify student needs and support eligibility determinations
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and administrators to develop individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Deliver counseling and intervention services to students facing academic, behavioral, or emotional challenges
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to support student success
- Utilize data gathering and analysis to inform educational strategies and interventions
- Provide consultation to educators on best practices concerning mental health and behavioral supports
Qualifications:
- Master’s or Doctoral degree in School Psychology or related field
- Valid state certification or licensure as a School Psychologist
- Experience working in K-12 educational settings
- Strong assessment, counseling, and data interpretation skills
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
- Excellent communication and organizational abilities
