This contract position as a full-time district psychologist will allow you to impact a diverse caseload of over 900 students, starting in August. Utilize your specialized skills in assessment, consultation, and intervention to foster positive educational outcomes and create an inclusive environment.

Key Qualifications:

  • Valid certification from the Nebraska Department of Education with a K-12 School Psychologist Field Endorsement.
  • Demonstrated understanding of school-based assessment and eligibility procedures under Nebraska Rule 51.
  • Experience facilitating Multi-Tiered Systems of Support (MTSS) at various organizational levels.
  • Strong communication and collaboration abilities with students, staff, and families.
  • Proven skills in organizing and leading Multidisciplinary Team (MDT) and Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings.
  • Commitment to providing resources and direct support for students’ behavioral and emotional needs.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Conduct psycho-educational assessments and interpret their results for eligibility determination.
  • Provide leadership in district and building-level MTSS initiatives, offering guidance on tiered intervention strategies.
  • Lead MDT meetings and partner with IEP teams to develop and monitor effective plans tailored to student needs.
  • Serve as an expert resource for faculty, staff, and parents on issues related to mental health, behavior, and development.
  • Deliver individual and group counseling to support students identified with emotional or behavioral challenges.
