A traveling school psychologist position is available starting August 2026 in Winnebago, IL, serving middle and high school students. This full-time role offers a consistent Monday through Friday schedule from 7:45 AM to 3:15 PM, focusing on conducting initial evaluations and re-evaluations to support student learning and development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform comprehensive initial psychological evaluations for middle and high school students
- Conduct re-evaluations to monitor student progress and adjust services as needed
- Collaborate with educators, parents, and other professionals to develop individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with relevant laws and district policies
- Support school staff with data-driven insights to inform interventions and supports
Qualifications:
- Valid Illinois license in School Psychology is required
- Experience working with middle and high school populations preferred
- Strong assessment and evaluation skills
- Ability to engage effectively with students, families, and multidisciplinary teams
- Willingness to travel to school locations as assigned while providing on-site services (no virtual or hybrid options available)
