A full-semester contract opportunity is available for a skilled School Psychologist to support K-12 students in a vibrant educational setting located in Ypsilanti, MI. This role involves working closely with school staff, students, and families to assess, diagnose, and address learning and behavioral challenges, fostering a positive and inclusive school environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct psychological assessments and evaluations for students across K-12 grade levels
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and parents to develop individualized education plans (IEPs) and intervention strategies
- Provide counseling and support services to help students overcome academic, social, and emotional difficulties
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss student progress and intervention outcomes
- Maintain accurate and confidential records in compliance with school policies and state regulations
- Deliver crisis intervention and prevention strategies as needed
Preferred Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid School Psychologist certification or licensure in Michigan
- Experience working with K-12 populations in a school setting
- Strong knowledge of educational assessments, behavioral interventions, and special education laws
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with diverse student populations, parents, and school staff
- Ability to manage multiple cases and maintain detailed documentation within established timelines
