A full-time Music Therapist – MT-BC position is available at an elementary school in Richmond, TX, serving the South and West Divisions. This contract role runs through June 4, 2026, focusing on school-based therapy services integrated with student Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
Key responsibilities include:
- Conducting music therapy evaluations tailored to student needs
- Providing direct music therapy interventions to support educational and developmental goals
- Tracking and documenting student progress consistently
- Offering training and support to school staff on therapeutic strategies and accommodations
Qualifications:
- Active Music Therapist-Board Certified (MT-BC) credential is required
- Bachelor’s degree in Music Therapy or a closely related field
- Experience delivering school-based therapeutic services, preferably in elementary education settings
- Ability to work full-time (37.5 hours per week)
- Reliable transportation and willingness to commute within the South and West Divisions of the district
- Capacity to complete fingerprinting and drug screening promptly upon hiring
