Located in Spring, TX, this full-time Music Therapist position offers a contract opportunity within an elementary school setting. The role is designed to provide music therapy services aligned with student Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), including evaluations, direct therapy, progress monitoring, and staff training. The assignment runs from ASAP through June 4, 2026, supporting students in the South and West Divisions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver school-based music therapy services targeted to individual student IEP goals.
  • Conduct assessments and evaluations to determine therapy needs.
  • Provide direct music therapy sessions and document student progress.
  • Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families for integrated support.
  • Train school personnel on music therapy approaches and strategies.

Qualifications:

  • Active Music Therapist-Board Certified (MT-BC) credential required.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Music Therapy or related field.
  • Experience providing music therapy in school settings.
  • Ability to work full-time (37.5 hours per week) during the contract period.
  • Understanding of school environments and ability to align therapy with IEP requirements.
  • Reliable transportation and familiarity with the South and West Division locations.
  • Ability to complete required fingerprinting and drug screening promptly.

Additional Desired Skills:

  • Experience as a School Therapist.
  • Background in Art Therapy is a plus but not mandatory.
