This opportunity is for a skilled Sign Language Interpreter to support high school students in a K-12 educational setting located in Bixby, OK. The role involves providing 1:1 interpretation services for two students: one high school student requiring full-time support (approximately 35 to 37.5 hours per week, Monday through Friday) and another student with severe and profound needs on a part-time basis (Monday, Thursday, and Friday). The position requires traveling with the second student to a nearby building less than a mile from the high school to ensure comprehensive assistance. Typical work hours are approximately 8:40 AM to 4:15 PM.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide clear and effective sign language interpretation for two high school students, ensuring full communication access throughout the school day
  • Collaborate with teaching staff and support personnel to facilitate inclusive learning
  • Travel to a second building as needed to support a student’s additional educational sessions
  • Maintain confidentiality and comply with all school policies and procedures

Preferred Qualifications:

  • EIPA score of 4.0 or higher, or RID/NAD certification
  • Quality Assurance Screening Test (QAST) Level III or better
  • Minimum of 2 years of sign language interpreting experience, preferably in educational settings
