Bring your expertise as a Sign Language Interpreter to a school setting near the beautiful coast of North Carolina, just outside Wilmington. This contract opportunity will place you in a supportive environment, working 1:1 with a student and making a significant difference in their academic experience. The assignment starts immediately and runs through the end of the school year, with a strong possibility to renew for the next academic term.

Key Qualifications:

• Minimum 3.5 EIPA or current RID certification required
• Experience interpreting in a school or educational environment preferred
• Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL) and the ability to support students in K-12 settings
• Excellent communication skills and a passion for fostering inclusivity in education
• Adaptability and professionalism in a dynamic, team-oriented atmosphere

Your Role:

• Provide direct 1:1 sign language interpretation services to a student throughout the school day
• Collaborate with teachers and staff to support the student's access to curriculum and school activities
• Maintain confidentiality and ethical standards in line with professional guidelines
• Participate in meetings and contribute to student progress discussions as needed
• Facilitate communication between students, staff, and families to ensure inclusive participation
