This full-time position offers the opportunity to provide vital sign language interpreting services for a 1st grade student within an elementary school setting. The role is based in Clanton, AL, and spans the entire school year, Monday through Friday, with daily hours ranging from 6 to 7.
Key Responsibilities:
- Facilitate effective communication between the 1st grade student and classroom personnel using American Sign Language (ASL).
- Support the student’s access to curriculum by interpreting classroom instruction, discussions, and activities.
- Collaborate with teachers, aides, and support staff to ensure an inclusive learning environment.
- Maintain professionalism and confidentiality in all interactions.
- Adapt communication strategies to the evolving needs of the student and classroom.
