Location: Denver, CO
Responsibilities:
- Interpret and convey educational content in a clear and accessible manner for the student.
- Collaborate with teachers and support staff to ensure an inclusive learning environment.
- Attend student IEP meetings and participate in relevant training sessions.
- Maintain professional interpreter standards and stay current with best practices.
- Develop and implement strategies to enhance communication and learning.
Qualifications:
- EIPA score of 3.5 or higher.
- Colorado Department of Education Educational Sign Language Interpreter certification.
- Proficient in American Sign Language (ASL).
- Experience working in K-12 settings, particularly with students with disabilities.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team.
