A full-time Sign Language Interpreter position is available for the 2025/2026 school year, supporting a 20-year-old high school student receiving Transition Services. This role is located in Kent, WA, within a high school setting and offers a contract through the school year with potential for summer work based on student needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide sign language interpreting services to support the student’s educational and transition-related activities
- Facilitate effective communication between the student, educators, and peers
- Adapt interpreting strategies to meet the student’s individual needs during classroom instruction and related services
- Maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times
Qualifications:
- Minimum EIPA score of 4.0 or higher
- Proven experience as a sign language interpreter in an educational setting
- Strong understanding of communication access for students with hearing loss
- Ability to work full-time at 37 hours per week
- Availability from ASAP through the end of the school year, with the possibility of summer assignments
