An opportunity is available for a skilled professional to provide vital communication support for a high school student during the Extended School Year (ESY). This contract position is based in Palmdale, CA, and involves working closely with the student to facilitate their educational needs through American Sign Language (ASL).

Location: Palmdale, CA

Responsibilities:

• Provide interpretation services for the student using ASL, ensuring effective communication in educational settings.
• Collaborate with teachers and other educational staff to support the student's learning objectives.
• Attend and participate in relevant meetings and professional development as required.
• Maintain professional standards and comply with all required regulations and guidelines.

Qualifications:

• Certified ASL interpreter with relevant credentials.
• Experience interpreting in educational settings preferred.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively with diverse populations.
• Knowledge of educational procedures and policies related to students with disabilities.
