Qualifications:

  • Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL)
  • Eligible to work as a Sign Language Interpreter in Nebraska (provisional license accepted with EIPA score under 4.0)
  • Experience in educational or early childhood settings preferred
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
  • Passion for providing equitable access to learning

Responsibilities:

  • Interpret spoken English into sign language for PreK students
  • Facilitate communication between students, teachers, and staff
  • Contribute to a collaborative, supportive classroom environment
  • Maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical interpretation standards
  • Provide onsite services according to school and district guidelines
