A school is seeking a skilled Sign Language Interpreter to support a student’s educational needs in Mount Laurel, NJ. This contract position offers a Monday through Friday schedule from 9:00 AM to 3:45 PM, running until June 25. The interpreter will work closely with one student, providing essential communication access in an educational setting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver accurate and effective sign language interpretation to facilitate learning and communication
  • Collaborate with educators to support the student’s inclusion and participation in classroom activities
  • Maintain confidentiality and professionalism in all interactions
  • Adapt interpretation techniques to meet the student’s evolving needs throughout the school day

Qualifications:

  • Current EIPA NJ Certification Standard is required
  • Proven experience as an educational interpreter, preferably within a school environment
  • Strong knowledge of American Sign Language (ASL) and educational interpreting practices
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize the needs of the student

  • Location: Mount Laurel, New Jersey
  • Contract duration: Through June 25
  • Schedule: Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 3:45 PM
  • Caseload: One student
