A K-12 school in New Orleans, LA is seeking skilled Sign Language Interpreters to support students in the Jefferson Parish district. Qualifications and Experience:

• Active Louisiana DOE Certification for Sign Language Interpreters
• Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL)
• Previous experience working in K-12 educational settings preferred
• Strong understanding of educational terminology and classroom dynamics
• Ability to manage a full-time schedule, 35 hours per week

Location:
New Orleans, Louisiana (Jefferson Parish School District)

Responsibilities:

• Deliver high-quality sign language interpretation services to students in K-12 classrooms
• Facilitate clear communication between students, teachers, and staff
• Adapt interpretation strategies to meet the individual needs of each student
• Collaborate with educational teams to support student learning and inclusion
• Maintain confidentiality and professional standards at all times

Contract Details:

• Start: ASAP
• End: May 22, 2026
• Schedule: 35 hours per week (7 hours daily plus a 30-minute unpaid lunch)
• Number of schools and caseload to be determined
