Sign Language Interpreter in Oroville, CA

A K-12 educational institution in Oroville, CA, is seeking experienced Sign Language Interpreters to provide virtual interpreting services for staff members who are deaf or hard of hearing. This role is contract-based and will operate on an on-call basis, supporting meetings, professional development sessions, and various trainings throughout the school year.

Responsibilities:

• Provide virtual sign language interpretation for staff during meetings and educational trainings
• Facilitate clear communication to ensure accessibility for deaf and hard of hearing staff
• Maintain professional standards and comply with school policies and confidentiality requirements
• Coordinate with staff and scheduling teams to manage on-call assignments efficiently

Qualifications:

• Valid California credential as a Sign Language Interpreter
• Educational Interpreter Performance Assessment (EIPA) score of 4.0 or higher
• Experience working in educational settings preferred
• Proficiency in virtual interpreting platforms and technology
• Availability to accept PRN (pro re nata) assignments on an as-needed basis
