A full-time Sign Language Interpreter position is available in a K-12 school located in Perry, GA. This contract role spans from ASAP through the end of the school year (EOSY), requiring 37.5 hours per week. Qualifications:
- Must hold a Georgia Educational Interpreter Certification
- Fluent in American Sign Language (ASL)
- Minimum 3.5 EIPA (Educational Interpreter Performance Assessment) score or higher
- Previous experience in educational settings preferred
Responsibilities:
- Provide clear and accurate sign language interpretation services to deaf and hard-of-hearing students across K-12 classrooms
- Facilitate effective communication between students, teachers, and staff
- Support students’ academic achievement and inclusion within the school environment
- Collaborate with the deaf education team to plan and implement appropriate learning accommodations
- Maintain confidentiality and uphold professional standards and ethics in interpretation
