Qualifications:

• Certification as a Sign Language Interpreter (e.g., NIC, RID).
• Proficient in American Sign Language (ASL) and its cultural nuances.
• Previous experience interpreting in educational settings, particularly with K-12 students.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate effectively with students, staff, and parents.
• Knowledge of special education processes and terminology is a plus.
• Flexibility to adapt to varying classroom environments and needs.

Responsibilities:

• Provide interpretation services for deaf or hard-of-hearing students, facilitating access to the curriculum.
