ASL Interpreter | Seattle, Washington

A full-time Sign Language Interpreter opportunity is available to provide 1:1 support for a middle school student. This contract role is based in the Seattle area, approximately 40 minutes north in Everett, and offers a dynamic setting within a middle school environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Facilitate clear and effective communication through sign language interpretation during academic and social activities.
• Provide personalized support to the assigned student, ensuring accessibility to curriculum and peer interactions.
• Collaborate with educators, staff, and families to promote a supportive learning environment.
• Maintain professionalism and confidentiality in all interactions.

Desired Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a Sign Language Interpreter, particularly within educational settings.
• Ability to work 37.5 hours per week in a full-time capacity.
• Flexibility to support individual student needs with a focus on middle school education.
• Willingness to be designated as a paraprofessional for candidates with relevant experience but a GPA under 4.0.
