Sign Language Interpreter in Tracy, CA

A unique opportunity is available for a skilled Sign Language Interpreter to support K-12 students in a dynamic school environment located in Tracy, CA. This contract position runs from July 29 to May 31, offering 30 hours per week dedicated to enhancing communication access for students who use sign language.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide accurate, clear, and professional sign language interpretation services for K-12 students across the campus.
• Rotate throughout the campus based on student needs, ensuring comprehensive communication support in classrooms and other school activities.
• Collaborate with educators, staff, and families to facilitate effective communication and support student learning outcomes.
• Maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards in all interpretations.

Required Qualifications:

• Demonstrated proficiency with a minimum EIPA score of 4.0 or higher.
• Experience interpreting in an educational K-12 setting is preferred.
• Strong understanding of educational terminology and classroom environments.
• Ability to manage flexible assignments across various locations within the school.
• Strong communication skills and cultural sensitivity.
