Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Education, American Sign Language, or a related field.
- Teaching certification in American Sign Language, preferred.
- Proficient in American Sign Language (ASL) with a strong foundation in teaching methods.
- Experience working with elementary-aged students, particularly in a classroom setting.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to foster relationships with students and staff.
Location:
- Vidalia, GA
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement engaging ASL curriculum tailored to the needs of elementary students.
- Create a positive and dynamic classroom environment that promotes effective learning.
- Assess and monitor student progress, providing support and feedback to encourage growth.
- Collaborate with fellow educators and staff to enhance the overall educational experience.
- Organize and participate in school events that promote awareness and appreciation of ASL and Deaf culture.
