A K-12 educational setting in Alabaster, AL is seeking a skilled Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) certified with the Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) and licensed for school settings. This contract role covers the full school calendar year, providing the opportunity to make a tangible difference in students' communication development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive speech and language assessments for students across grades K-12
  • Develop individualized treatment plans tailored to each student’s needs
  • Provide direct speech therapy services to students with communication disorders
  • Collaborate with educators, parents, and other professionals to support student progress
  • Maintain accurate documentation and progress reports in compliance with school policies and IDEA regulations
  • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to Individualized Education Program (IEP) planning

Qualifications:

  • Current Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA)
  • Valid SLP licensure for school-based practice
  • Experience working with children in educational environments, preferably with K-12 populations
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with students, families, and school staff
  • Knowledge of applicable state and federal regulations related to special education and speech services

Location: Alabaster, Alabama

Duration: Contract position for the full normal school year (NSY)
