A Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) is needed to provide compensatory services for a 13-year-old middle school student in Bridgton, ME. This unique opportunity involves working with a student who recently relocated from Virginia and still requires speech services covered by the previous school district. Services will take place in a classroom or clinic space provided by the student’s current district. The position is a contract role expected to span the current school year.

Location: Bridgton, Maine
Setting: Middle School classroom/clinic
Duration: Current School Year (contract)
Schedule: Flexible hours, likely mornings or afternoons outside of school hours, approximately 4 hours per week
Service: Compensatory Speech-Language services (No voice therapy)

Key Qualifications and Skills:

  • Valid SLP certification with experience in school settings
  • Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) candidates are welcome
  • Experience working with pediatric populations, particularly middle school-aged children
  • Knowledge of healthcare and speech therapy protocols within school-based settings
  • Ability to deliver compensatory speech services as part of a multidisciplinary team

Responsibilities:

  • Provide in-person speech-language therapy tailored to the student’s unique needs
  • Collaborate with educational and therapeutic staff to ensure integrated services
  • Maintain accurate documentation and compliance with regulatory requirements
  • Coordinate with the previous school district and current district to facilitate service continuity
