A Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) with a Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) is needed for a K-12 educational setting in Barnesville, GA. This contract position runs through the current school year with immediate start preferred and concluding on May 22nd. The role requires approximately 25-30 hours per week, providing services predominantly to middle and high school students.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver speech and language therapy services to a caseload of about 60 students.
- Provide regular direct therapy to approximately 30 students.
- Conduct monthly consultations for another group of 30 students.
- Collaborate with educators and support staff to develop individualized education plans (IEPs) and track student progress.
- Utilize evidence-based therapeutic techniques to support students’ communication needs.
- Maintain documentation and comply with school policies and state regulations.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid Speech-Language Pathologist license and Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC).
- Experience working with school-aged children, especially middle and high school students.
- Strong understanding of speech and language developmental milestones and disorders.
- Ability to work effectively within a collaborative school environment.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and time-management skills.
