An opportunity exists for a dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist to support elementary students with a variety of speech and language communication needs. This full-time position involves working across three school buildings, providing essential services to help students achieve their individual goals.
Qualifications:
- Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Current NY state licensure (or eligibility) as an SLP
- Experience working with children, preferably within school settings
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
- Knowledge of IEP processes and educational laws
Location:
- Alden, NY, serving across multiple elementary schools
Responsibilities:
- Assess students and develop individualized therapy plans
- Provide direct therapy services addressing speech, language, and communication needs
- Collaborate with teachers and staff to implement necessary accommodations and modifications
- Track student progress and adjust therapy plans as required
- Actively participate in IEP meetings and contribute to goal setting
- Offer consultation and resources for parents and caregivers
