A full-time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) opportunity is available in a K-12 school setting located in Beckley, WV. This contract position offers a 26/27 school year commitment with a focus on providing high-quality speech and language services to students across all grade levels.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess, diagnose, and treat speech and language disorders in students
- Collaborate with educators and families to develop individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Deliver therapy sessions tailored to the unique needs of each child
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of student progress and treatment plans
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and professional development opportunities
Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid SLP certification with credentials such as CCC (Certificate of Clinical Competence) or CFY (Clinical Fellowship Year) preferred
- Experience working within a school environment serving K-12 students
- Strong knowledge of speech-language pathology assessment tools and intervention strategies
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage students, staff, and families
- Ability to manage caseload and documentation efficiently in compliance with school and state regulations
