A Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) position is available to provide services primarily to a 9th-grade student population during the 2024-2025 school year. This full-time contract role involves managing a caseload of 35-45 students. The position operates four days per week in Berkeley, CA, within a high school setting.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct speech and language assessments to identify student needs
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
- Deliver direct speech therapy services tailored to each student
- Collaborate with educators, parents, and other support staff to support student progress
- Maintain detailed documentation and progress reports in compliance with regulations
- Attend team meetings and participate in professional development activities
Qualifications:
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP-CCC) required
- Experience working with adolescent students, preferably high school age
- Strong knowledge of speech and language disorders and evidence-based intervention strategies
- Ability to manage a moderate caseload effectively while maintaining compliance standards
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
