Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or related field
  • Valid state licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist
  • Experience working with K-12 students, particularly those with varied disabilities
  • Proficient in augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) and Picture Exchange Communication System (PEC)
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct assessments to determine students' speech and language needs
  • Develop and implement tailored therapy plans for individuals and small groups
  • Collaborate with educators, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to enhance student outcomes
  • Monitor student progress and adjust therapy techniques as required
  • Maintain accurate documentation of services provided and student progress
  • Provide training and resources to staff and families regarding speech and language development
