A full-time Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) position is available in a K-12 school setting in Berkeley, CA. This contract role runs from ASAP through the end of the school year (EOSY) for the 2023-2024 academic year. The ideal candidate must hold a Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) in Speech-Language Pathology and have experience in school-based settings.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive speech and language evaluations for students grades K-12
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on student needs
- Collaborate with educators, parents, and other professionals to support student communication goals
- Maintain detailed documentation of student progress and compliance with legal and educational standards
- Participate in school team meetings and contribute to interdisciplinary collaboration
Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid CCC in Speech-Language Pathology (ASHA)
- Experience working in K-12 school environments preferred
- Familiarity with Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and school district policies
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) candidates with appropriate supervision may be considered
