A dynamic elementary and intermediate school located in Birmingham, AL, is seeking a skilled Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) holding the Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) to provide targeted speech therapy services. This contractual position is tailored for a candidate interested in a part-time schedule, approximately 20 hours per week, for the current school year (CSY).
Responsibilities include delivering individualized speech-language therapy to a caseload of 19 students—15 students at the intermediate school and 4 students at the elementary school. The schedule consists of two full days at the intermediate school and a half day at the elementary school, offering a balanced and varied daily routine. The selected SLP will assess, diagnose, and treat students with communication disorders, collaborating with teachers, parents, and staff to support student progress and educational goals.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid Speech-Language Pathologist certification.
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA).
- Experience working with elementary and intermediate school students.
- Strong abilities in individualized assessment and treatment planning.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills within an educational setting.
