A dedicated professional is sought to provide specialized speech-language pathology services in an engaging and supportive elementary school environment. This part-time position involves working closely with an in-home student, focusing on their unique communication needs through tailored interventions.
Qualifications:
- Certified Speech-Language Pathologist (CCC-SLP)
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or related field
- Previous experience working with children, particularly in an elementary setting
- Strong assessment and diagnostic skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with educators, parents, and other specialists
Location:
Vancouver, WA
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct speech and language services to the student for 30 minutes each day
- Engage in consultative practices for an additional 20 minutes daily, offering guidance to parents and teachers
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) based on assessment results
- Monitor student progress and adjust treatment plans as needed
- Maintain meticulous documentation of services provided and progress made
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support the student's overall development
